CONVENTIONAL LOAN PROCESSING
Designed for the entry level student who wishes to become a processor, or an originator who intends to process his/her own loans.

The conventional processing course provides a broad overview of underwriting, regulations, and industry terminology. Designed for the entry level student who wishes to become a processor, or an originator who intends to process his/her own loans. Our course is offered in a comfortable classroom setting and the Instructor has years of hands on experience processing loans. In our class you will receive practical knowledge about processing loans.
After completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the aspects of ordering out loan information requests, including exhibits.
- Know the residential loan application form and its components.
- Calculate basic mortgage formulas.
- Recognize credit issues and how they impact the loan process.
- Understand the role of cover letters: when they are needed and what they contribute to the file.
- Prepare a loan package for submission to the underwriters.
- Recognize "red flags" for underwriters.
- Understand the process of calculating income for self-employed borrowers (including corporations, S-corporations, and sole proprietors).
